The assembly line plant 'FBA' can thermally (pre.)-treat by streaming and dimensionally stabilize by shock- cooling and drying both webs of fabric and also individual pieces such as knitted shaped panels so that dimensional changes during later processing can be excluded to a great extent. This process is commonly known as 'shrinking'. The assembly line plant has a pre- steaming zone with adjustable steam, a setting zone with a setting tunnel and a cooling zone.
